I am a holistic counsellor and psychotherapist. I support my clients to acknowledge their concerns and to move towards healing. I work intuitively and relationally to support clients to become better connected with their internal resources of self-compassion, ease and eagerness for life. I work to empower clients to understand and move beyond their feelings of stuckness and fear. I work to support them to develop a greater sense of meaning and personal agency within their lives.
My approach facilitates clients to deepen their awareness of their lives. This awareness-building is the core focus of our work together as it has the ability to empower them to become more conscious, and therefore in more control to make positive changes.
I have a professional background working in both community health and the private sector. I have worked with a range of clients experiencing anxiety, depression, intimate partner concerns, parenting concerns and domestic violence. I also have worked with clients concerned with their use of alcohol, prescription and illegal drugs, gambling, porn, sex and food.
I have developed an inclusive and warm practice that is anti-oppressive and trauma informed. My professional commitment is to continue stay as a well-informed, reflective, safe health practitioner. I comply with all PACFA requirements including the safe storage of client information and I undergo regular supervision.
I am an effective practitioner who works with proven techniques and psychotherapeutic theory that promotes positive client outcomes. I am well connected with a range of other health professionals who may also offer you benefit.
